Elim Greenock Window Graphics

An illustration which was split across 3 window banners designed for the new outreach premises of the Elim Pentecostal Church in Greenock's Oak Mall shopping centre. The unit will be opening this Saturday to coincide with the start of an outreach with Carter Conlon's team from Times Square Church, New York.

60th Birthday Jewellery

An unusual but thoroughly enjoyable commission for Aspire Concepts - jewellery design. The client wanted a design based on the numerals LX (60) so I started there and came up with various sketches until I decided on this form with the numerals stylised into a rosette. I specified a contrasting matt and gloss silver finish around a diamond setting (which is the gem for a 60th birthday).
I passed the design schematic on to Hebridean Jewellery who crafted the metalwork based on my design which was very well received. So Aspire Concepts now offers jewellery design services too.

Queen Mary 2 Publicity

With this local press advert for Inverclyde Council I created a slightly more formal and understated design taking cues from the classic Cunard styling and colours.

The world's biggest cruise liner is making her first visit to the Clyde as part of a special British Isles voyage marking the introduction of the Queen Mary 2 in 2004. She will berth on Monday 19th October at Greenock's Ocean Terminal.

From Inverclyde Now:

The biggest cruise ships to come to the Clyde so far are the Princess Cruises vessels Grand Princess, Star Princess and Golden Princess, which are all about 108,000-tonnnes. Queen Mary 2 is described as the largest, longest, widest, tallest and most expensive ocean liner built.

Thousands are expected to turn out and greet the largest vessel ever to call at Greenock.

Alan McBride Speaking Event

Flyer and poster design to advertise a high school speaking event featuring a former drug addict and convicted criminal sharing his story of a life turned around.

I liked the B-Movie feel of how this carte blanche design turned out. The latest in a series of affiliated speaking events I have done poster designs for.
