I believe the web environment should reflect the organisation's brand identity and personality as much as (if not more than) their stationery, brochures or advertising materials do. I have enjoyed designing and sometimes implementing websites with an individual touch suited to the subject matter.
Stay Hebrides is a website set up for a holiday cottage in the Isle of Lewis to encourage idyllic island getaways.
I used photography supplied by the client to create a beachside theme and also supplied some of my own photography for the site.

Ice Hot Glass is the website for Glasgow based contemporary glass artist Lindsay Watson.
The site showcases her work, provides an online shop front for buying art work and details for customers to contact the artist to discuss commissions and orders.
i-Light Productions are a theatre and exhibition lighting specialist. I chose a dark colour palette and glow effects for the logo and rollovers which perfectly suit the subject matter.
I also liked the idea of adding a typographic element at the foot of the page featuring quotes about light which I thought gave the site that individual touch. I contributed some abstract photography for use on the site which can be seen here.

Black Lab Photos and Frames is a photo gallery and professional picture framing workshop by John Macleod on the shores of picturesque West Loch Tarbert on the beautiful Island of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, off the west coast of Scotland.
I designed the overall style and user interface graphics for the site while web developers Reefnet built the site.
The Dawnbreaking Student Group in Glasgow wanted a web site to convey information about their meetings and activities featuring a news page, reports, links and contact info. It was important to have something youthful and fresh but easy to update so I implemented this site using Rapidweaver.
